PRESS RELEASE: Hull summer quiz launches

Covering a 4.5km route around the city centre, a free to enter, family-friendly quiz trail has been launched by Hull’s newest marketing agency, Different Resonance.

Taking in some of Hull’s best-known sights, snaking through its rich independent shopping culture and making you look closer at things you may not have spotted before, this free to enter quiz is available to pick up from White Rabbit Chocolatiers in Paragon Arcade or Form Shop & Studio on Humber Street.

Murdoch's connection, Hull's footbridge over Castle Street, set against blue sky.
The quiz covers a 4.5km route including the new Murdoch Connection footbridge.

The trail is one big loop, so you can start at any point and even pick it back up at a later date if you don’t finish it all in one go. For those who do want a set start point though, the quiz is split into two sections, starting at each of the pick-up points.

By following the route in an anti-clockwise direction, participants will answer twenty-one questions, taking in Paragon Arcade, Whitefriargate, Humber Street, the Old Town, Hepworth’s Arcade and much more.

Don’t worry if you’re not clued up on Hull’s history and architecture though, as all answers can be found on the route.

There’s even a Hull-themed prize up for grabs for the highest-scoring team who submit their answers to quiz@differentresonance.co.uk.

Developed by Matt Johnson, a freelancer turned marketing agency owner, the route has been carefully constructed to take in some of Hull’s independent hot spots.

“I’m launching my new marketing agency this summer which is routed in Hull. As part of the launch, I wanted to create something that would highlight other Hull-based businesses. So, as part of the quiz trail, I’m encouraging people to support those local, small businesses on their way around.” Matt said.

For those who want to get a look at the questions before they start, there is a downloadable version of the quiz available on Different Resonance’s website.
